Amanda’s approach is very much about skill-building, demystifying some of the ‘hidden rules’ of social interaction and assisting clients to put those rules and skills into practice in their everyday lives.

Sessions are held on a one-on-one basis and are designed to be practical, dynamic and individualised. Skills covered will depend upon the specific needs determined in the initial assessment discussion, but include skills such as:

Fees

Initial assessment
80 minutes - $200 
(HICAPS code 320)

Ongoing consultations
50 minutes - $150 
(HICAPS code 350)

School observation sessions
60 minutes - $180 
(inclusive of travel within 15km of York Psychology if one-off observation session)

Reports can be provided with the fee dependent upon writing time - $180/hour or part thereof.

Rebates

Private health fund rebates are available for Speech Pathology services. Please check rebate details with your health fund, quoting the HICAPS codes provided.

Medicare rebates may be available. You must be referred by a General Practitioner under the Chronic Disease Management plan. This plan offers up to 5 sessions per year, with a partial Medicare rebate.

NDIS funding can be used providing your funding is either self or plan (third party) managed. If your fund is being managed by NDIA, unfortunately, NDIS funding cannot be accessed for Connect at York.
